QUELQU'UN À QUI PARLER
Someone to talk to
Esperluète éditions, Belgium, 2024
On 9th November 1959, Télé-Accueil received its first calls from people looking for a listening ear, “someone to talk to.” Since then, sixty-five years have passed, and even today, volunteer citizens, trained and supported by professionals, listen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to those who need a listening ear. This association, remarkable for its work and longevity, has also always worked to bring art and the public together. It is in this dual spirit that this anniversary book was born. Beyond the commemoration, this collection of short stories gives the opportunity to fine Belgian literary writers to explore the theme of speech and exchange.
Featuring stories by Geneviève Damas, Céline Delbecq, Laurent Demoulin, Xavier Deustch, Bérénice De Waen-Gaudissart, François Emmanuel, Virginie Jortay, Veronika Mabardi and Nicole Malinconi.
