Monotypes 2024

Here you will find several series of monotypes which I made during art residencies in Spain and the Czech Republic in 2024. I really enjoy making a series; it takes me down a hypnotic path. I follow the colours. And I always keep the ghost of the previous monotype.

During a residency at the beautiful mountain house of Elisabeth Pérez Fernández in Spain (El Lirón Gris), I made a series of owls, and faces with big ears. Soon afterwards, I went to a residency in Prague, organised by the Czech Literary Centre, where I had access to a print studio at UMPRUM Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design. There, I made a series of plants, watermen, and oysters with pearls.
